Hello! I’m Errol Longstride – children’s fantasy author, poet and storyteller.
I love sharing the magic behind Rohan Hood and the Kooky Starlights and inspiring young people to embrace their imagination, creativity and individuality. My interactive author events take children behind the scenes of creating a fantasy world, from inventing magical creatures and characters to exploring the power of storytelling and believing in yourself.
Having spent over twelve years writing my debut novel while working as a postman, I know that dreams don’t happen overnight. My talks encourage children to persevere, think differently, and discover that the things which make them unique can become their greatest strengths.
Whether I’m visiting a primary school, library, literary festival or community event, my aim is always the same: to spark imaginations, encourage reading, and show children that stories really can change lives.
Events can include:
